However, the fact that their screens aren't luminous kind of makes me want to die. If it's tilted the wrong way or it's slightly dark I am virtually fucked and I can't see well enough to do anything and it just ends up pissing me off and Nichole is done playing Nintendo for a while.
Now, I do have the little attachment for my GBA which magnifies the screen and shines a little light onto it. But it's horribly dorky-looking and not very convenient. I have to carry it around in my purse along with my GBA, hunt both seperately down [my purse is a fucking mess, that task is NOT easy!] I think it's just time for an upgrade. And since the DS is like, $115 at Target with Jeremy's 10% discount [whut whut, marrying an employee. I got BENEFITS!]... I just don't see why not.
So anyway, I started looking up a list of games for the DS. HOLY ASSBALLS. There are like a million games on it, and I can play all my old GBA games, too! Which is thoroughly awesome with a capital AWESOME. I get nerdy little butterflies just thinking about playing the DS, with it's little stylus and two screens [hence the DS]. It just makes me smile. I'm not even epically bummed out that I don't own one yet, because the thought of 'maybe for Christmas if Jeremy REALLY loves me [check out that ultimatum, ya'll!]' just makes me giddy in seventeen different ways.
Aside from my faggy joy about a little handheld gaming system, I just played Tiger Woods PGA Golf Tournament 2008... and hey, shit's fun. Jeremy and I got kind of overly into the golfing portion of Wii sports, so we finally rented a 'real' golf game from BlockBuster. It was thoroughly enjoyable, although I am quite probably the worst putter ever. When I'm ten feet away from the fucking hole and I should just tap it, I [and the wiimote, I swear it's not JUST me!] freak out and have a pseudo-seizure and end up hitting the ball at like ten million percent power, straight into the rough or the bunker. And then I cuss at also ten million percent power and then... well then it's time for Nichole to take a break from pretend golf. It's just a pretend version of a GAME, but somehow it still makes me one angry bitch.
And while I'm on this sweet-ass roll about video games, I'm gonna mention that I cannot stop fantasizing about Guitar Hero 4, which I am ludicrously excited about. Seriously, I am just counting the fucking days. I am FAR too excited about this game. I am not even going to have much time to play it; I'm gonna be caught up in finishing my senior year [yeah, right. mhm.], but I am still stupidly psyched. I am getting pumped just thinking about this shit.
I am not as excited about Rock Band 2, which in my opinion is just scrambling to make its debut before GH4 and is going to end up making a sequel to their first game with little improvements or innovations... whereas every fucking time Guitar Hero puts out a new game, they steroid-pump their old game and make it a superbeast of badassery. They manage to completely revamp their games, improve their problems, expand upon their old game, implement groundbreaking new features, et cetera, et cetera, I cream in my pants about Guitar Hero, blabbity blah.

I admit, some choices are shitty. But there are just so many that make me get butterflies. Mm.
HOWEVER, I do realize that the Guitar Hero 4 setlist will probably be equal to or greater than in badassery, so I am not completely swayed. I am still definitely a Guitar Hero girl at heart and Rock Band is quite a fun game, but if I had to choose [and if the games are not compatible with eachothers equipment, or rather the rock band game with the guitar hero equipment, I will have to], I choose Guitar Hero. It has not broken on me or my friends [Rock Band has!], every note ACTUALLY REGISTERS on the god damn Guitar Hero guitar, and fnally, well... I just like the way it feels better.
And if that makes me an opinionated little shit, I already knew that, so ha.
