I just got done watching the Silva vs. Irvin fight live on SPIKE TV. To put it in my own words... it was fucking brutal.

Anderson Silva is an intimidating
Brazilian motherfucker.

James Irvin has a tattoo under his right
man boobie that makes me smile.
But okay. So like, not even a minute into the round, James Irvin goes to land a high kick into Anderson Silva. Silva said "Nah man, fuck that" [In Brazilian. No, not really. Just kidding. But I digress...] and grabbed Irvin's leg, pulled it out from under him, jumped on top of him, and started landing all these sweet-ass punches straight into his fucking dome. It was badass. KO at like 1:01. It made me happy.
So I thought that was about it for UFC tonight, I was even suggesting flipping the channel. Cause mostly fights after the main event are just not very exciting to me. Hey, sometimes fights before the main event are not exciting to me. And even the main events suck sometimes. But it's mainly the post-main-events that make me nod off.
Tonight, that was not so. Holy shit. Brody Farber vs. Rory Markham. I'm not a huge MMA buff or anything, so this may not mean much, but I've never heard of either of these guys. But I'll definitely remember Markham from now on. He knocked Farber the fuck out. Firstly, I was just kind of uninterested. Cracking jokes about how Farber looks like a cancer patient and Markham looks like an underwear model, so on and so forth. Then the fight started and I shut the fuck up [aside from some oohing and ahhing, cause I felt the need to.]
They were both incredibly agressive. Not in a 'these two fighters obviously have a beef' sort of way, in a 'wow, these are two energetic and exciting fighters.' Not to mention, they both have great records. But wow. Farber got Markham a little beat down, and he thought he had him. So, he let his guard down an eensy bit for like a nanosecond. And in that nanosecond, Markham administered this totally bad-a headkick and Farber stiffened up like a god-damn 2x4 and fell to the ground in barely over a minute and a half. W-o-w. KO in the first round, yes yes ya'll.
Aside from the fully awesome UFC event tonight, I don't have much going on. I went shopping for some clothes and shit, and then drew tattoo flash until Jeremy [my fiancee, I should prolly mention that] came over. Then we watched the aforementioned UFC and after that I was assaulted [maybe I'm being melodramatic...] by a beetle in bed and had to crush it in my hand with a little wad of toilet paper. Pretty brutal, if you ask me.
I guess that's it. I am a failure at blogging. Aw.
